The Max Upchurch Excellence Through Scouting Foundation Donates to Troop 410 for Summer Camp

The Max Upchurch Excellence Through Scouting Foundation is proud to announce that we are contributing $500 to Scout Troop 410 in Bloomsdale Missouri to offset their travel expenses for an out of Council Summer Camp experience at L. E. Phillips Scout Camp in Rice Lake Wisconsin.

L. E. Phillips Scout Reservation covers 1,400 acres, has five lakes, and has beautiful pines and hardwoods. It provides an outdoor classroom that is unparalleled. The Chippewa Valley Council prides itself on the program and the site, and affectionately calls L.E. Phillips “America’s premier camp”.

While their home Summer Camp is normally S Bar F Scout Reservation south of Farmington Missouri, this unique opportunity allows Troop 410 to experience another part of the country and a completely different Scout Camp with its unique program.  We are excited for Troop 410 as they prepare for this journey!

The Max Upchurch Excellence Through Scouting Foundation’s mission is to ensure that Max’s legacy lives on by supporting the scouting communities in Ste. Genevieve County.  The foundation strives to participate in helping with recruitment, camping, high adventure trips, annual dues, equipment, training, travel, and other events that foster Scouting and leadership development. We choose to honor Max by continuing to blaze a trail ahead by supporting The Boy Scouts of America.
